Design Lab

Design Lab is a live show where Erica works with a guest on a session they are designing while an audience watches. The guest brings a real design challenge.

After the recording ends, the audience joins Erica and the guest for an open conversation.

If you design sessions where what happens between the people in the room determines whether the work succeeds, this show is for you.

Attending live puts you in the room as it happens. After the recording ends, the audience joins Erica and the guest directly, to ask questions, share what landed, and go deeper into the design decisions you just watched get made.

—Robin Fox M.Ed.,

Social Emotional Learning Educator, Meditator, and Improv Actor

Robin Fox is a social emotional learning educator, lifelong meditator, applied improvisation practitioner, and professional actor whose work sits at the intersection of nervous system awareness, neurodiversity, mindfulness, and human connection.

She is developing The Attuned Facilitator™, a 10‑week certificate training for facilitators, educators, therapists, and group leaders who want to understand how nervous systems and neurodiversity shape participation, learning, and belonging, and how to design more responsive, emotionally safe group experiences. In this Design Lab session, Erica and Robin will explore how to shape the overall arc of the program so that each session builds toward deeper “aha” moments and a final, integrated transformation for participants.

Live Design with Alex Levinton

Alex Levinton, writer and facilitator, brought a 3-hour workshop supporting journalists' creativity, mental health, and resilience. Erica and Alex mapped a clear flow, moved key exercises into pre-work, structured three focused segments, and built in concrete on-the-call action steps.

A few days later.....

I've had bout 17 different realizations since we did this. (Thank you thank you thank you!) Since I fell into this work by accident, I'm kind of doing it backwards. It's so ridic clarifying to think about teaching workshops in five distinct stages instead of one rolling river of post-it notes.
